CAP will start at 5:30 AM - 6:30 AM
LAPD Academy at Elysian Park

Check in at the front gate and meet up at the track.

NOTE: Park your vehicle on the street in front of the academy (not in the parking lot).
What to bring: Water, CAP uniform (shirts, shorts, sweatshirt, and sweat pants), and a yoga mat.

NOTE:
First time CAP attendees may come in standard workout attire.
Be sure to complete the CAP waiver and register for CAP through your portal.  Both can be done under the “CAP Events & Prep” tab.

Meet A Mentor

LAPD's Virtual Meet A Mentor is designed to inform and educate LAPD candidates about their access to LAPD Mentors and assist them with progressing through the hiring process. The Meet A Mentor seminar will also educate LAPD Candidates about notifications, workshops, and advise candidates about scheduled testing parts.

  • Assistance with completion of forms. Provide contact information for status updates
  • Provide insight, explanation and preparation about the police academy and patrol
  • Oral Interview preparation and coaching
  • Provide resource information (Candidate Advancement Program, Oral Preparation Seminar and Ride-along requests)
