Multiple Choice Test (MCT)

We want to set you up for success! To help us get to know your strengths, you’ll take a multiple-choice test designed to evaluate a few core competencies: Judgment & Decision Making and Written Communication.

  • Associate Community Officer Exam: You passed the City of Los Angeles Associate Community Officer multiple-choice test on or after November 5, 2021.
  • California POST: You have successfully completed the California POST Regular Basic Course or currently possess a valid Basic Course Waiver.
  • Pellet-B Test: You have taken the California P.O.S.T. Pellet-B test and earned an overall T-score of 42 or higher.
  • FrontLine National Exam: You received a passing score on the FrontLine National Law Enforcement Examination administered by the National Testing Network (NTN) based on the City of Los Angeles criteria.
