‍Before you click "Submit" on your Government Jobs application, you must attach official proof that you meet the educational requirements.

‍Acceptable Proof of Education

• U.S. high school diploma, a U.S. GED, or an approved U.S. equivalency test.
• U.S. college degree or official/unofficial U.S. college transcripts indicating a two-year (Associate's) or four-year (Bachelor's) degree has been earned.
• Foreign College Proof: For a foreign-earned two-year or four-year degree, you must attach a credential evaluation report from an active member of either NACES or AICE.

California POST (Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training) regulations strictly require a United States high school diploma, a U.S. GED, or an approved U.S. equivalency test.

State regulations do not recognize foreign high school diplomas, even if they have been evaluated and deemed equivalent by an approved credentialing service.  If your high school education was completed outside the U.S., you must obtain an approved U.S. equivalency test (such as a GED) or possess a qualifying U.S. college degree to meet this requirement.
